Standalone keypad locks: no wifi, no app, no subscription

A standalone keypad lock stores its codes in the lock itself and runs on batteries, so it needs no wiring, no network and no monthly fee.

All eight lines

The short answer

Standalone keypad locks

A standalone keypad lock stores its codes in the lock itself and runs on batteries, so it needs no wiring, no network and no monthly fee. That is the whole category, and it is deliberately not a smart lock.

How to choose

What actually decides the part number

Standalone versus networkedStandalone means codes are programmed at the door and the lock owes nothing to a network. Networked access control is a different product, a different budget, and a different failure mode when the internet drops.
Battery lifeCommercial keypad locks typically run on AA cells for a stated number of cycles. Cold exterior doors drain them faster than the rating suggests.
Key overrideMost models offer a cylinder override so a mechanical key still works. Decide this before ordering, because it changes the part number.
WeatherAn exterior keypad has to be rated for it. A lock specified for interior use will fail outdoors, and that is not a warranty claim.

What we confirm with you

Confirmed in writingHand, door thickness, whether a key override is wanted, and the finish.

Not sure which you need

Send a photo instead

You do not need a part number. Send a photo of the hardware and the door it sits on, plus the ship-to zip code, and we will identify it and quote it the same business day.
