What this site collects, why, and who it is shared with.
This policy explains what latchfordhardware.com collects, why, and who it is shared with. Latchford Hardware LLC is the controller of that information.
What we collect
When you request a quote or use a contact form: your name, email address, phone number if you give one, the photos and files you upload, and anything you write in the message. These are stored in this website’s database so we can answer you and find the conversation later.
When you place an order: your name, billing and shipping address, email address, phone number, and the contents of the order.
Payment details: card numbers are entered on our payment processor’s own form and are never stored on this website or seen by us. We receive only the result of the payment and the last four digits.
Automatically: standard web server logs, and analytics about which pages are visited. Our security and content delivery provider also processes your IP address to filter automated traffic.
Why we collect it
To identify the hardware you need, quote it, take payment, get it shipped to you, handle returns and warranty claims, and keep records we are required to keep.
Who it is shared with
- The distributor that ships your order. Your name and delivery address are given to them because they physically ship the goods. Orders are shipped blind, which means their paperwork carries our details rather than theirs.
- The manufacturer, when you make a warranty claim and only for that claim.
- Our payment processor, to take and settle payment.
- Our email delivery provider, to send order confirmations, quotes and replies.
- Our analytics and security providers, as described above.
We do not sell your information, we do not rent it, and we do not use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Order and tax records are kept as long as the law requires. Quote requests and messages are kept while they are useful and deleted when they are not.
Your choices
Email sales@latchfordhardware.com to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to ask us to delete it. We will do that unless we are legally required to keep a record, and if so we will say which.
Cookies
This site sets cookies that are needed for the cart and checkout to work, and analytics cookies that tell us which pages are used. You can block cookies in your browser, though the cart will not work without its own.
