Terms
The terms your order is placed under. Products are sold as components and the AHJ makes the final call on code.
These terms govern your purchase from Latchford Hardware LLC through latchfordhardware.com. Placing an order means you accept them.
Who we are
Latchford Hardware LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. Registered address: 30 N Gould St, Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801.
What we sell
We sell commercial door hardware as components. We are a dealer, not a manufacturer and not an installer. Products are supplied to the manufacturer’s published specification, and that specification is what we are responsible for matching.
Installation and code compliance
You are responsible for installation, and for making sure the installed assembly complies with fire, egress, accessibility and building codes in your jurisdiction.
We will tell you what a product is listed for and what its specification sheet says. We are not code consultants, we do not perform code review, and nothing on this site is a code determination. Whether an installation meets code in your building is decided by your Authority Having Jurisdiction, and the AHJ makes the final call.
Specification confirmation
Handed, keyed, powered and made-to-order items are confirmed with you in writing before they ship. Once you confirm a specification in writing, that confirmation is what we order against.
Pricing and availability
Prices are in US dollars and may change without notice. Product availability is held by the distributor, not by us, and an item shown as available may sell out before an order is placed. If we cannot supply an item at the price shown, we will tell you and refund you in full rather than substitute anything without your agreement.
Payment
Orders are paid in full before they ship. We do not offer trade credit or net terms.
Shipping, returns and warranty
Shipping terms are on our Shipping page. Return terms, including the restocking fee and the list of items that cannot be returned, are on our Returns page. Warranty terms are on our Warranty page. Those three pages form part of these terms.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to any order is limited to the amount you paid for the products giving rise to the claim.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including loss of profit, loss of use, property damage, downtime, or the cost of labour to install or remove hardware, whether the claim is in contract, negligence or otherwise, even if we were advised such damages were possible.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Wyoming.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published here on the date you place your order.
