Most hardware ordering goes wrong before it is ordered. A closer is specified by the wrong size, a lever arrives in the wrong function, a device turns out not to be fire rated for the opening it was bought for, or a part number is copied from a label that has been painted over three times.
Send a photograph of the existing hardware, or a list of your doors, and we will identify what you have and specify what will replace it. We will tell you the manufacturer, the part number, the ANSI function, the grade, the handing and the finish, and we will tell you where the specification is ambiguous rather than guessing.
There is no charge for this and no obligation to buy anything from us.
What helps us most:
- A clear photograph of the existing device, plus one of the door edge and frame
- Any numbers stamped on the lock front, the closer body or the device
- Door width, thickness and material if you know them
- Whether the opening is fire rated
- Whether the door is interior or exterior, and whether it is on a pair
What we will carry
Door closers, panic and fire exit devices and their trims, cylindrical and mortise locksets, commercial hinges, electronic access control including keypad locksets, thresholds and weatherstripping, removable mullions, and the strikes, arms, drop plates and cylinders that go with them.
Everything is specified by manufacturer part number, ANSI or BHMA grade, ANSI function, handing and finish. We sell hardware only.
