FAQ

Ordering

Do I need an account to order?

No. There is no account, no credit application and no minimum order. Send a quote request and pay on the quote.

Do I need a part number?

No. Send a photo of the hardware and the door it sits on, plus the ship-to zip code. Most commercial hardware carries a stamped or cast marking, and where it does not the mounting pattern and dimensions are usually enough.

How fast is a quote?

Same business day, and usually the same afternoon US Eastern. Quotes carry the part number, the specification, the price and the lead time.

Can you match hardware across several doors?

Yes. Tell us how many openings and whether they are identical, and we quote the set. For portfolios we keep the specification on file so the second order does not repeat the first conversation.

Products

What is the difference between Grade 1 and Grade 2?

ANSI/BHMA grades describe tested durability. Grade 1 is heavy duty commercial for main entrances, stairwells and high traffic openings. Grade 2 is lighter commercial duty for lower traffic interior doors. Grade 3 is residential and we do not sell it.

Can you key locks to our existing system?

Usually. Tell us the keyway and we quote cylinders keyed alike to your system, or keyed alike across a group of new doors. Keyed orders are confirmed in writing and cannot be returned once cut.

Do your keypad locks need wifi or a subscription?

No. The keypad locks we sell are standalone. Codes are programmed at the door, they run on batteries, and there is no app, no cloud account and no monthly fee.

Will you tell us whether something meets code?

We will tell you what a product is listed for and what its specification sheet says. We are not code consultants. Whether an installation meets fire, egress or accessibility code is decided by your Authority Having Jurisdiction, and the AHJ makes the final call.

Shipping

How long does delivery take?

Ground runs 1 to 4 business days anywhere in the contiguous United States, and most metro addresses receive in 1 to 2. Orders placed and paid on a business day ship the same or next business day.

Do you ship outside the lower 48?

Not today. We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico or international addresses.

Why did my order arrive in more than one box?

Items held in different warehouses ship separately. Every box gets its own tracking number and there is no extra shipping cost to you.

What do I do if a box arrives damaged?

Accept the delivery, note the damage with the driver if they are still there, photograph the box before opening it, and email the photos within 48 hours. Please do not refuse the delivery, because a refusal costs more to resolve and delays your replacement.

Returns and warranty

What is your return window?

30 days from delivery on uninstalled, unused stock items in original packaging. Every return starts with an RMA by email, because warehouses refuse returns that arrive without one.

Is there a restocking fee?

25 percent on correctly supplied items, which is what the distributor charges us and the standard fee in commercial hardware. There is no fee, and no return shipping cost, when the mistake is ours.

What cannot be returned?

Cut keys and anything keyed to your system, special and factory orders, installed or wired items, and anything marked FINAL SALE, SPECIAL ORDER on its product page. That marking appears before you pay, not in the fine print afterwards.

Who handles a warranty claim?

We do. Every product carries its manufacturer warranty with the term shown on the product page. Email us and we route the claim and chase it until it closes.

Payment

How do I pay?

Card is the default and keeps the 1 to 2 day shipping promise. Bank transfer is available through the quote channel on larger orders.

Do you offer net terms?

No. Orders are paid in full before they ship. We do not offer trade credit.

Do you charge sales tax?

We display the total you pay. We are not registered to collect sales tax in any state, so none is added. A business buyer may still have its own use tax obligations, which are yours to assess.
