How to choose
What actually decides the part number
Kick platesSized by door width less a small clearance, typically 2 inches narrower than the door on a single. Height is a choice: 8, 10, or 16 inches and up for armour plates.
Latch guardsA wrap or guard plate stops a latch being shimmed on an outswing door. Cheap, and the single most cost effective security upgrade available on an existing opening.
Sweeps and thresholdsA sweep seals the bottom of the door, a threshold seals the floor. Together they are what stops draught, water and light. Both are sized to the door width.
Stops and holdersA stop protects the wall and the hardware. Wall, floor and overhead types suit different conditions, and overhead stops are the ones that survive abuse.
